The Santa Maria-Bonita School District (SMBSD) has kicked off its 2026 Summer Meal Program, ensuring local children have continued access to nutritious food while school is out of session.

Operating Monday through Friday, June 15-Aug. 7, the program offers breakfast and lunch at no cost to all children and teens ages 1-18 years old living in the Santa Maria community.

The initiative is funded through the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Seamless Summer Option. In alignment with district policy, all meals served follow strict federal nutritional guidelines.

No paperwork, proof of income, or pre-registration is required for a child to receive a meal. Families may simply bring their children to any participating open community site.
