The Santa Maria-Bonita School District (SMBSD) will host a comprehensive, two-day Job Expo in June to recruit and hire new personnel to support the district’s 17 elementary schools and four junior high schools.
The Job Expo will be 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, June 26, and 9 a.m.-2Â p.m. Saturday, June 27 at Souza Student Support Center, 708 S. Miller St., Santa Maria.
SMBSD is hiring for a variety of career opportunities, including instructional assistants, student supervision aides, and licensed vocational nurses.
“The Job Expo is designed as a one-stop hiring experience where qualified attendees can complete the entire application process, including required testing and initial interviews, in a single visit,” organizers said.
To participate in the on-site hiring process, applicants must bring:
• Standard Documentation: A government-issued photo ID and a copy of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. A current resume is also preferred.
• Position-Specific Records: Depending on the role, some positions require a valid CPR/First Aid certification (issued within the last year) and/or a DMV driving record printout (dated within the last 60 days).
