Caltrans, in partnership with the city of Santa Maria, invites the community to share their thoughts on preliminary design concepts for Main Street and Broadway as part of a downtown planning study.

“Residents, business owners, and visitors have a dynamic and interactive opportunity to help reimagine and shape improvements that truly reflect the vision and priorities of everyone who lives, works, and visits downtown Santa Maria,” organizers said.

Community members can respond to this online survey through the end of April.

“The planning study is set to transform downtown Santa Maria by making it easier and more enjoyable to get around,” organizers said. “Exciting bike and pedestrian improvements are on the horizon, paving the way for a vibrant, connected community.”

“This is an important opportunity for the community to help guide the future of downtown Santa Maria. Public input ensures these improvements serve everyone,” said Finn James, Caltrans Planning Liaison.
