The Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department invites teens ages 12-18, in grades seven through 12, to the Spooktacular October: Escape Rooms, a series of escape room challenges designed to ignite creativity, foster teamwork, and deliver a lot of fun.

The free events will take place 6-7:30 p.m. Thursdays Oct. 17 and 24 in the Media Center at Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center, 600 S. McClelland St.

Upcoming events are Titanic Escape, Oct. 17, and Wizard’s Peril, Oct. 24.

Pre-registration and a Youth Center membership are required.

The Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center serves as a hub for local teens, offering an array of recreational, educational, and social activities.
