A Santa Maria man has been arrested following allegations he attempted to meet an individual he believed to a minor for the purpose of engaging in unlawful sexual activity.

Detectives took Luke Richard-David Rosado, 32, into custody on Tuesday without incident, Lt. Todd Logan of the Santa Maria Police Department said.

The investigation remains ongoing as detectives suspect additional victims or individuals have had similar encounters involving Rosado.

He was booked into the Northern Branch Jail on a felony charge of arranging to meet a minor for the purpose of committing a lewd act. 

He was being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
