The Santa Maria Public Library, 421 S. McClelland St., is reinstating Sunday hours starting July 9.
Sunday library hours are funded by the City Council using the voter-approved Measure U one-cent local transactions and use tax, in support of quality-of-life services.
The main library’s hours will become:
Monday: 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
Tuesday: 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
Wednesday: 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
Thursday: 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Sunday: 1-5 p.m.
The main library provided Sunday hours from January to mid-March 2020, then closed to protect patrons during the pandemic. The main library subsequently had a limited reopening in April 2021.
