The city of Santa Maria has released two videos that show how to properly use sandbags, as well as the four locations for free sands provided by the city.
The Santa Maria Public Works Department and City Manager’s Office Communications team collaborated on the videos, one in English and one in Spanish.Â
The short videos play during regular programming on the city of Santa Maria’s three public Comcast Cable channels 23, 24 and 25, which are available to livestream anytime at cityofsantamaria.org/tv.

Sandbags are provided by the city at the following sites:
- West Carmen Lane just after Depot Street
- San Ysidro Street West of Miller Street
- Suey Crossing
- 2000 Block of North Western Avenue in the cul-de-sac
