Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man last week on suspicion of driving under the influence and having a “clandestine drug manufacturing lab” in his vehicle, Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Raquel Zick said.
Around 6:30 p.m. Friday night, deputies responded to a parking lot on the 5500 block of Hollister Avenue to the report of a person who had apparently passed out in a vehicle.
The driver, Dawson Geoffry Carter, 24, of Santa Paula, was arrested on suspicion of driving to the location under the influence, Zick said.
Deputies searched the vehicle and found evidence of drug sales and manufacturing along with methamphetamine, heroin, LSD, MDMA and psilocybin psychedelic mushrooms, she said.

Carter was booked into jail on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of burglary tools, maintaining a lab for manufacturing drugs, drug sales, and transportation of drugs for sale, Zick said.
Arrest records note he had bail of $100,000 and was later released from custody on bail.
Carter was not in jail custody and had not been criminally charged with any allegations as of Tuesday.
No further information was available.
