In the 113 pound division, Pirates sophomore Malia Ortiz went 3-2, with all three wins by fall, for a sixth place podium finish.

At 133 pounds, junior Kylie Franson went 1-2 with a bye in the opening round. Her win came by a fall in the third period.

Santa Ynez junior Hailee Taylor had an outstanding tournament at 139 pounds. She lost her first match of the day before wrestling back to the medal rounds with three consecutive falls.

In her final match, she pinned the same opponent who defeated her earlier in the day, for a fifth-place medal.
