Santa Barbara’s boys had only eight swimmers available Thursday against Santa Ynez, but they “swam hard and competed well,” coach Mark Walsh said.

“Evan Encell-O’Hara swam good times in the 100 fly and 50 free,” Walsh said. Ryan Drake won the 100 backstroke, and Sean O’Brien had personal best times in the 200 free and 100 free.

For the girls, Nalani Yim won the 100 backstroke and 50 freestyle. Ally Bartholomew (200 free), Layla Szymczak (200 IM), Ella Maclear (500 free), and Addie Sweeney (100 breaststroke) all won races.

Santa Barbara travels to San Marcos next Thursday.
