Fitzgerald also had two blocks, two digs and an ace. Grant Hughes added 21 assists, three kills, two blocks, two digs and an ace. Reid Sisney added eight kills and a block. Finn Hastings led in digs with 10, adding an ace and two assists.
The Chargers improve to 3-2 in league play and are 11-4 overall. They host Oak Park Friday at 6:30 p.m.
“Santa Ynez came with some relentless defense tonight,” Dos Pueblos coach Ehren Hug said. “More than a few times we had to make multiple swings to get a ball down. I’m proud of our team on the defensive side as well. I felt like we were getting more balls up in a lot of different ways, but the intensity and passionate defense was there.
“Libero Finn Hastings and defensive specialist Parker Randolph were scrapers tonight, picking up everything,” Hug added. “Super proud of this team. Thus far as we are continuing to improve and grind in practice and tightening up the little things.”
