Santa Barbara lost to two highly ranked Division 1 teams Thursday at the Elite 12 Tourney at Harvard-Westlake.
The Dons, ranked 12th in CIF-SS Division 1, fell to second-ranked Newport Harbor 16-10, and then to fifth-ranked Orange Lutheran 16-3.
Against Newport Harbor, Santa Barbara’s Ryan Drake scored five goals, and Sean O’Brien added two goals and three assists. Griffin Pieretti had a goal and earned two ejections.
Against Orange Lutheran, Drake, O’Brien and Pieretti scored a goal each for the Dons and combined for 10 ejections. Wyatt Pieretti had 12 saves.
Santa Barbara faces Miramonte of Orinda on Friday.
