Santa Barbara High’s girls golf season came to an end Monday at the CIF-SS Northern Division team championships at Elkins Ranch in Fillmore.

The Channel League-champion Dons shot 453 and finished eighth out of 19 teams and failed to advance to Thursday’s finals. The top three teams advanced: Walnut 376, Notre Dame 400, Temple City 433.

The low individual score was a 1-over par 73 by Tiffany Le of Walnut and Jacqueline Jeffries of San Marino.

Melia Haller led Santa Barbara with a 6-over 78, placing her ninth out of 120 golfers. Lizzie Goss and Aoife Braverman each shot 88, Allie Womack had a 98 and Maddie Malmsten finished with a 101.

The Dons went undefeated in the regular season and won the Channel League title.

“I am so proud of their season,” said coach Ryan Throop. “Our seniors — first team all Channel League, Allie Womack, second team, Maddie Malsten, Lulu Dunaway and Taylor Trider — will be missed.
