A couple of comeback wins by the Santa Barbara High girls tennis propelled the Dons to a 5-4 non-league win at Arroyo Grande on Thursday.
Shalini Lewis fought back from a 5-2 defict in her first set and won five straight games for a 7-5 victory. She won her second set 6-2.
In doubles, sisters Caitlyn and Nicole Buist rallied from a first-set loss and beat their AG opponents in a second-set tiebreaker and won a third-set super tiebreaker, 10-5.
“They figured out a way to keep their composure, and both players served a good percentage of first serves in and mnaged to make few mistakes,” said coach Danny Echt.
Ashley Birch of the Dons swept her opponent in singles, 6-0, 6-2.
