Ten local high school football players were named to All-CIF-Southern Section division teams, which were released on Monday.

Santa Barbara High, which advanced to the Division 8 championship game, led the way with six honorees. Lompoc had two representatives and Bishop Diego had one on the Division 5 squad, while one player from Dos Pueblos. was named to the Division 6 team.

The Santa Barbara players recognized were junior quarterback and University of Wisconsin commit Deacon Hill, junior defensive lineman Noach Wood, senior wide receiver/defensive back Dakota Hill, senior linebacker Johnny Valencia, senior defensive end Joshua Rosales and senior offensive lineman Chase Kamin.

Santa Barbara went 11-3, won the Channel League title outright for the first time since 2001 and reached the CIF final for the first time in 30 years. The second-seeded Dons lost to top-seeded Sunny Hills in the final.

Sunny Hills also had six players named to the Division 8 team and took the top individual honors: senior running back Jun Ahn was the Offensive MVP; junior linebacker Carson Irons was Defensive MVP and Peter Karavedas was named Coach of the Year.

Bishop Diego senior running back Adrian Soracco is a repeat honoree on the All-CIF Division 5 team. He rushed for more than 1,000 yards for the second straight season.

Senior offensive lineman Jacob Nunez of Lompoc also was a repeat All-CIF selection. He was joined by his teammate and cousin Ryan Morgan, a tight end for the Braves. The pair both signed letters of intent with Arizona State.

Senior running back/defensive back/returner Conner Lee of Dos Pueblos. was selected to the Division 6 team.

In 8-man football,  Cate School had three players named to the CIF Division 1 squad: seniors Scott Holmes and Mason Oetgen and junior William Deardorff.
