The Santa Barbara PONY Baseball 12-Under All-Star team finished as runners-up at the District 3 Bronco Division Tournament in Bakersfield.
Santa Barbara lost to Ridgecrest in the final, 18-7.
The team advanced to the final with wins over Lancaster and Ridgecrest in the early rounds and a 7-2 semifinal victory over Bakersfield.
Garrison Goldberg pitched five innings and allowed two unearned runs in the semifinal game. Gabe Rodriguez and Diego Vazquez made clutch defensive plays to prevent Bakersfield from scoring more runs.
Santa Barbara rallied from an 8-1 deficit against Ridgecrest in the final, cutting the score to 8-7 at the end of five innings.
But Ridgecrest erupted for in the bottom of the sixth to pull away for the title.
