The Santa Barbara Stompers 11-Under All-Star team wrapped up their season on Monday in the Super Region Tournament in San Diego.
The Stompers concluded the summer with a top-five finish in the Super Region tournament, which consisted of the top Southern California PONY teams.
To reach this tournament, Santa Barbara advanced through the District, Open, Section and Region tournaments earlier in the summer. After finishing in second place in the SoCal North Region Tournament, the Stompers were awarded a No. 1 seed heading into the Super Region tournament.
With the top-five finish to conclude their season, Santa Barbara is now ranked as a top 10 team in PONY’s West Zone Region, which consists of 11 states.
Members of the team include Niccolo Pecorari, Colton McCollum, Kellen Merkey, Matti Di Maggio, Griffin Cooney, Grant Feramisco, Calvin Mitchell, Emmett Wong, Henry Shiffman, Cash Lee, Logan Miller and Joaquin Adam. The team is coached by Andrew Mitchell and Gary Feramisco.
