Santa Barbara improved to 7-2 in Channel League play with a sweep of Lompoc at home on Thursday.

The win puts the Dons in sole possession of second place behind league leader Dos Pueblos (8-1), which handed San Marcos its third league loss on Thursday night.

“A strong serving game by Carolina Koceman and Shae Delany carried us to the win tonight,” Santa Barbara coach Kristin Hempy said.

“I also want to shout out Remy Rosales (senior outside hitter) and Charlotte Caesar (senior DS/Libero) who both came in and played strong for us tonight. Remy did a great job swinging strong in the front row and Charlotte came in as libero in the third set and was consistent at digging and passing back row.
