The Santa Barbara Swim Club will be conducting a two-week swimming stroke clinic for youngsters starting Monday, Aug. 19.

The clinic is open to swimmers ages 5-18. It will be held at Los Baños del Mar Pool for all ages and at UCSB Campus Pool for ages 8 and under.

There is a fee of $75 per swimmer. If the swimmer joins the Swim Club after the clinic, the $75 will go toward the first month of membership dues.

Clinic times are 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for high school swimmers; 4:15-5:30 p.m., for ages 13-14; 4:30-5:30 p.m., for ages 9-12 and 4:30-5:30 for ages 8-under.

Parents should contact swimoffice@sbswim.net to schedule an assessment prior to clinic registration.

“Whether you are interested in your child having fun and getting exercise through swimming, simple stroke technique for your child, getting them involved in a social activity through sport, advancing their swimming ability or interested in getting more competitive, this is the perfect time and place to get them started,” said club director Rick Hancock.  “Come on out and see what we’re all about.”
