District 4 Santa Barbara City Councilwoman Kristen Sneddon is the latest guest on the popular podcast Santa Barbara Talks with Josh Molina.
In this wide-ranging conversation, Sneddon talks about running for office for a second term, and calls out her opponent, Barrett Reed, for raising more than $200,000 for his campaign.
“I have had the experience at the door where people have met with Barrett, and then wrote him an email later saying that they were really disappointed that they didn’t know that he himself was a developer,” Sneddon said. “They felt that he had misrepresented himself. Some people have shared that with me and written him letters.”
Sneddon raises questions about his contributions, and also talks about her relationship with her colleagues, including tension with Councilwoman Meagan Harmon.
Sneddon grew up in Santa Barbara, and teaches geology at Santa Barbara City College.
In this podcast, Sneddon also talks about returning to the classroom after the COVID-19 pandemic closed in-person school for a year.
