Rowse is a former Santa Barbara City Councilmember and restaurant owner; Joyce is a former legislative aide to state Sen. Hannah-Beth Jackson, Kilrain is a small business owner, Whitehurst also owns a small business, and Schwartz is a longtime member of the Santa Barbara Planning Commission.
