Santa Barbara High’s boys water polo team pulled into Woodside in the Bay Area Thursday afternoon and defeated Woodside High, 15-7, in a tune-up before competing in the Bellarmine Prep Memorial Cup this weekend.
Eight of nine field players that played scored a goal in the win. Ryan Drake and Griffin Pieretti led the way with three goals apiece. Neeno McDonald had two goals and four assists and Jerrad Burford scored two goals and had two steals.
Goalie Jaxon Burford made 10 saves and assisted on two goals.
The Dons open the tournament on Friday against San Ramon Valley.
