Lauren Fitzgerald and Ella Arce shared medalist honors with 43s to lead Santa Barbara to a 225-280 win Thursday over Oxnard in a Channel League match at River Ridge Golf Course.
Fitzgerald, a junior, birdied hole 4, and senior Arce parred holes 3, 5 and 6.
Dons freshman Sage Malmsten carded a 45.
“Today’s temperature was much more bearable than Tuesday,” Santa Barbara coach Ryan Throop said. “Lauren and Ella led the team with their solid consistent play. Ninth grader Sage Malmsten crushed a few drives and birdied hole 5.”
Santa Barbara is now 2-0 in league play and 2-1 overall. The Dons take on San Marcos Tuesday of next week at Santa Barbara Golf Club.

San Marcos scores 248 against short-handed Bishop Diego squad
San Marcos sophomores Talia Cummings and Campbell Thayer shared medalist honors with a pair of 48s at Santa Barbara Golf Club Tuesday against Bishop Diego, contributing to a 248 team score.
Bishop Diego did not have enough players to complete the match.
“Campbell played really consistently today, and Talia had some great putting during her round,” Royals coach Sarah Ashton said, as both medaled for the first time. “I was excited to see each of them shoot their season low!”
San Marcos sophomore shot a 51, and freshman Dani Hickman carded a 52.
The Royals take on Santa Barbara Tuesday.
