A Santa Barbara woman is facing attempted-murder charges after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend during a domestic dispute over the weekend, police said.
Hilda Carbajal Solis, 41, was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail on Saturday, and remained in custody Monday in lieu of $1 million bail.
Santa Barbara Police officers responded at about 1 a.m. Saturday to the 600 block of West De la Guerra Street on a report of an assault with a deadly weapon, according to Anthony Wagner, a police spokesman.
A resident told police Solis had attacked him with various weapons, and ultimately stabbed him once with a large knife, Wagner said.
“Officers found the suspect nearby and arrested her,” he added.
Solis was booked on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, spousal abuse, and making criminal threats, all felonies, and misdemeanor charges of possessing a controlled substance and brandishing a weapon.
Details on the victim and his injuries were not released.
Police told Noozhawk he was treated at the scene by paramedics but was not taken to the hospital.
