Melia Haller shot even par on the back nine at Rancho San Marcos Golf Course and took the first-round lead in the 36-hole Channel League Individual Golf Tournament on Monday.

Melia Haller is the leader after 18 holes at the Channel League Individiual Tournament at Rancho San Marcos.

Haller shot a 74 over 18 holes and leads her teammate Lizzie Goss by five shots.

Goss made five birdies to overcome a 10 on No. 12 and finished with a 79.

Haller and Goss will play in Tuesday’s final group with Alex Manion and Sofia Tasca of San Marcos.

Manion is in third place at 82 and Tasca stands in fourth at 89.

Allie Womack of Santa Barbara shot a 93 and is in fifth place.

Rounding out the top 10 are Morgan Blunt (Santa Ynez) at 95, Jessie Mendibles (Cabrillo) at 97, Bridget Callaghan (Santa Ynez) with a 98 and Ellie Mendibles and Kelsey Bruner (Cabrillo) tied at 100.

The golfers completing the 16-player field for the final round are Aoife Braverman (Santa Barbara, 103), Ryann Melville (Santa Ynez, 103), Caelyn Linane (Santa Ynez, 106), Alyssa Hess (Cabrillo, 107), Kathy Ramirez-Gijon (Dos Pueblos, 108).
