The Santa Barbara-based XFactor 10-Under club baseball team defeated the Simi Valley Renegades 7-2 to capture the USSSA All-Star Classic in Camarillo on Sunday, June 12.
The title win capped a 5-0 record in the tournament, where XFactor outscored their opponents 44-9.
Starting pitcher Dallas Knothe turned in a great outing on the mound, allowing two runs while striking out four in four innings of work.
The offense backed up Knothe, scoring in the second, third and fourth innings to extend the lead to 7-2.
JP Lopez threw a scoreless fifth and sixth inning in relief.
Lopez, Knothe, Blake Downing, Bradley Brennan, Makoa Anderson and Hudson Lang drove in runs for XFactor.
XFactor 10U players include JP Lopez, Blake Downing, Dallas Knothe, Bradley Brennan, Makoa Anderson, Ethan Caldwell, Hudson Lang, Ezekiel Martin, Xander Glover, Ryland Montgomery, Colt Minus and Jayce Chrestenson. The team is managed by George Downing, with coaches Justin Knothe, Ray Lopez, Darren Lang, Bryan Anderson and Tony Garcia.
