Santa Ynez pitchers Jackson Cloud and Victor Heredia pitched brilliantly in an epic CIF-SS Division 6 semifinal game at Estancia on Tuesday.
The Pirates, however, couldn’t put any runs on the board and lost a 1-0 heartbreaker in 10 innings.

“Jackson was unbelievable,” said coach Warren Dickey of his senior ace.
Santa Ynez had seven hits, but, couldn’t capitalize on early scoring opportunities, said Dickey.

The Pirates finish their final season in the CIF-Southern Section with a 17-12 record. Estancia improves to 27-5 and advances to the championship game against Anaheim.
Dickey lauded his senior players: Mikey Gills, Owen Hunt, Tanner Padfield, Cloud and Heredia.
“This group led us back to relevancy. They battled every game, and leave a great legacy.”
