Santa Ynez senior Molli Kadlec hit a triple in the top of the 10th inning to help the Pirates to a 6-4 Channel League cliffhanger softball win over Cabrillo on Thursday.

Cierra Cloud and Boogie Grossini had four hits for the Pirates, who opened the game with three runs in the top of the first inning. Cabrillo answered back with two runs in the bottom of the inning.

The teams battled to a 4-4 tie by the end of the seventh.

Santa Ynez finishes 5-10 in Channel League play, and Cabrillo is 4-11.
