Sarah Lee Contreras was born to Melquiades and Sara Montoya in Santa Barbara on Sept. 9, 1938.

She went to elementary school, junior high and high school in Santa Barbara. She married Pedro Felix Contreras, then moved to Concord, California.

They had six children, 14 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.

Years later, she moved to Florida with her daughter where she lived until she passed on March 24, 2023.

My mother’s infectious laugh and smile will always be remembered by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as by the many other people whose lives she touched.
