Goleta community members are invited to hear about the city’s achievements and challenges, learn about its finances, and ask questions at the Goleta Community State of the City address, 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 8 at the Goleta Community Center, 5679 Hollister Ave.
The main program begins at 6 p.m. when Mayor Paula Perotte will give her State of the City address, followed by a Financial Update from Goleta City Manager Robert Nisbet. The program ends with a Q&A session featuring City of Goleta Department Directors.
Simultaneous Spanish interpretation will be available. View invitation in Spanish here, with Dist. 2 Councilmember Luz Reyes-Martin.
“Every year I look forward to the community State of the City,” Perotte said. “This is the perfect opportunity to connect with each other and see firsthand the progress we are making as a city.
“My favorite part of the night is the Q&A segment. We love hearing your questions and hope you will bring them. It’s going to be an informative night.”
In addition to the mayor’s address, information tables will be set up with city staff on hand to talk about upcoming projects and programs. Attendees can mingle with the City Council, city staff, stakeholders and fellow Goleta residents.
Music and light refreshments will be offered as well.
