The Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table is set to host its annual Evening with the Athletes Event on Monday, June 9, at 5:30 p.m. at the Marjorie Luke Theater.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will look back on the year that was in local sports, honoring championship teams and awarding some of the top athletes in town.
UCLA Health is sponsoring the event, and KEYT’s Mike Klan and Noozhawk’s Diego Sandoval will serve as the Masters of Ceremonies.
SBART will announce the Athletes of the Year for all local high school and college sports, special award winners and scholarship recipients.
From the pool to the gridiron, the Santa Barbara area is rich with talented student-athletes, and that talent is sure to be on full display at this year’s Evening with the Athletes.

The Athletic Round Table provides a public forum for area athletic coaches and athletes; grants financial support to organizations, teams, and individuals to further their participation in sports; and publicly honors athletic performance, scholastic achievement, and exemplary ethical behavior.
