The Santa Barbara Volleyball Club 15s earned a second-place finish in the Silver Bracket at The Volleyball Festival last weekend in Phoenix, Arizona.

While the team came in second in their bracket, they also placed 11th in a large field of teams from across the nation.

“It was the perfect way to close out a season built on grit, growth and genuine love for the game,” SBVC coach Emily Curry said. “What stood out most, though, wasn’t just the seed jump or the bracket finish. It was that through four hard-fought days, this group never lost sight of why they play.

“Hard work, big climbs, and joy on every point — that’s the 15s in a nutshell. A great way to wrap up a successful season.”

Eloise Becker led the way for the team on the offensive end, while Anja* turned in a strong tournament in the back row.

“Across the board, the hitters knew their assignments and played with the green light to swing away — and they made it count, converting that aggression into real points on the board,” Curry said.
