The SBCC football team is bowl bound.
The Vaqueros, who went 7-3 in the regular season, were selected Wednesday to play in the Chick-fil-A Winter Festi-Bowl against Palomar College (5-5) on Saturday, Dec. 4 at Escondido High School in north San Diego County. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
It’s the first post-season bowl game for SBCC since the 2016 Beach Bowl.
“We’re really excited,” coach Craig Moropoulos said of the bowl bid.
SBCC finished the regular season on a high note, winning its last three games. The Vaqueros were dominant in their final two games, winning by scores of 52-7 and 49-19.
