The American Scandinavian Foundation of Santa Barbara gathered at Manning Park in Montecito recently for a picnic to celebrate the opening of its year of activities.

Participants enjoyed a smorgasbord while sharing Scandinavian stories and hearing about members’ travels to Scandinavia. Both children and adults played games including potato toss and catch.

Foundation president Ellen Zissler introduced new members and guests.
