Southern California Edison restored power to all Santa Barbara South Coast customers by Wednesday afternoon but warned of additional public safety power shutoffs this week.

About 11,500 customers were in areas affected by the potential PSPS, including the city of Santa Barbara, the San Marcos Pass area and the Gaviota Coast.

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for the Gaviota Coast between 4 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday, warning of 25 to 30 mph winds and gusts up to 45 mph.

Jalama Beach County Park, Gaviota State Park, El Capitán State Beach and Refugio State Beach are all within the wind advisory area.

“There is a moderate chance of stronger sundowner winds on Friday night, potentially being capable of downing trees and power lines,” the NWS said.

Check the SCE Outage Map to see if your area could be affected by a PSPS this week.

PG&E did not forecast a PSPS for Santa Barbara County.

SCE had shut off power to about 950 local customers earlier this week because of a PSPS, but power was reportedly restored as of Wednesday afternoon.

On Tuesday, three vegetation fires were reported along the Gaviota Coast of southern Santa Barbara County. The fire near Mariposa Reina caused authorities to shut down southbound Highway 101 in the area for several hours.
