The 2025 Santa Barbara Senior Open, a 36-hole stroke play competition, kicked off on Thursday at the Santa Barbara Golf Club.
After one day of action, Scott Anderson is the lone golfer under par in the Championship Flight after shooting a three-under-par 67.
He is followed by second-place Brian Smyth, who finished at an even-par 70. Meanwhile, Steve McPherson rounds out the top three at one-over-par.
In the First Men’s Net Flight, Ramy Moharram holds the lead with a one-day score of one-over-par. Ken Kelliher (+2) and Brian Yelman (+4) are in second and third place, respectively.
Michael Rice leads the Second Men’s Net Flight with his score of three-over-par, while Bob Woods and Edward Wachtel are tied for second after shooting five-over-par.
The tournament will conclude on Friday at the Santa Barbara Golf Club.
