The Channel Islands YMCA has welcomed Sean Savatt and Matthew Bronson to its Board of Directors. They bring experience in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, public service, and community engagement across the Central Coast.

Savatt serves as a strategic gifts officer with the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County, where he works with major donors and develops philanthropic strategies to support the organization’s mission.

Previously, he held leadership roles with the Boys & Girls Club, advancing from club director to area director, and supporting programs that expand opportunities for youth.

Savatt is also active in Rotary and the Association of Fundraising Professionals, and
has served for many years as a high school football official.

Bronson has served as city manager for Grover Beach since 2016, overseeing city operations and some 70 employees.

Bronson has nearly 30 years of local government experience in California and North
Carolina, including leadership roles with the city of San Mateo, Marin County, and
Charlotte, North Carolina.

Locally, he is active in civic leadership and Rotary and has served on the San Luis Obispo County YMCA Board since 2017, including as treasurer and chair.

“We are excited to welcome Sean and Matthew to the Channel Islands YMCA Board
of Directors,” said Margo Byrne, president/CEO of the Channel Islands YMCA. “Their experience will strengthen our mission and support our work across the communities we serve.”
