Sharon (Bracamonte) Kee

Dearest friends and family,

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Sharon (Bracamonte) Kee on March 9, 2025.

Sharon passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love that defined her life and that she so generously shared with all of us. This love, a constant source of strength and joy for her, now offers a small measure of comfort as we navigate this profound loss.

Born in Santa Maria on Dec. 11, 1950, Sharon’s journey was one of remarkable achievements, unwavering love, and countless cherished memories.

Her graduation from Santa Maria High School in 1969 marked the beginning of a life filled with purpose and passion.

For 54 wonderful years, she shared her life with her devoted husband Paul, a partnership built on mutual respect, unwavering support, and a love story that inspired us all.

Together, they not only built Paul’s Appliances and Repair into a thriving business — a testament to Sharon’s sharp intellect and entrepreneurial spirit — but they also built a legacy of enduring commitment and affection.

Sharon possessed a vibrant spirit, a playful energy that shone through in everything she did. Her competitive side, most evident in her love for Blackjack, was balanced by a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures in life: the warmth of a campfire under a starlit sky, the thrill of boating with loved ones, and the quiet contentment of family gatherings.

These moments, filled with laughter and shared experiences, created bonds that will forever endure.

Beyond her professional accomplishments and her love for games, Sharon’s kindness, generosity, and unwavering compassion touched countless lives. She possessed a rare ability to make everyone feel seen, heard and loved.

Her warm smile and infectious laugh brightened every room she entered, and her legacy of empathy will continue to inspire us all.

Sharon was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Cleo Bracamonte, and her brothers, Steven and Ronald Bracamonte.

She is survived by her beloved husband Paul Kee; son, Brian Kee (Deborah); brother Edward Bracamonte; grandson Ace Kee; step-grandsons Josh and Derek Hernandez; step-great-granddaughters Jazmin and Keilani Hernandez; and great-grandson Jaxson Hernandez.

The family finds solace in the knowledge that Sharon’s spirit, vibrant and strong, lives on in the hearts of those she touched. We will forever cherish the memories we shared with her.

The void left by Sharon’s passing is immense, but the love she gave will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration. We celebrate her life and the profound impact she had on each of us. May her memory be a blessing.

There will be a graveside service, 11 a.m. Thursday, March 20 at the Santa Maria Cemetery.
