CALM has added Sharon K.L. Lutz to its Board of Directors. Lutz recently retired from Cottage Health, where she served as vice president of Quality Support Services for 20 years.
Lutz oversaw key areas including quality improvement, risk management, infection control, spiritual care, interpreter services, case management, and social services.
Her dedication to patient safety and clinical quality improvement aligns with CALM’s mission to prevent childhood trauma and heal children and families, CALM said.
“I have always been passionate about improving the health and well-being of our community,” said Lutz.
“My experience has shown me how critical CALM’s work is in building resilience, and I am honored to be part of such a dedicated team,” she said. “I look forward to contributing to CALM’s continued growth and impact.”
Lutz holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in statistics from Iowa State University and a B.A. in mathematics from St. Olaf College in Minnesota.
She has previously served on the Board of CommUnify.
“Sharon’s vast experience in ensuring quality care adds a key perspective to our Board,” said Alana Walczak, CALM president/CEO.
“Her commitment to data-driven leadership will be a tremendous asset to CALM, helping us deepen our impact with the highest standards of care for our community,” Walczak said. “We are thrilled to have her expertise as we strengthen supports for children and families.”
