Monday morning at the Sheriff’s Office Training Bureau classroom, Sheriff Bill Brown welcomed 10 new members to the Sheriff’s Office team. The new hires include:

Administrative office professionals Virginia Villarreal, Luz Chavez and Lashawn Madison; utility workers Tristin Fichtner and Gerry Ortiz, Sheriff’s service technicians Jasmin Cruz, Nicholas Monteleone and Danny Wang; building maintenance supervisor Wayne Motyer; and air support pilot Loren Courtney.

All the new team members will be joining the ranks of professional staff who make up almost a third of the Sheriff’s Office staff. They will work in various units and locations including Sheriff’s Headquarters, the Main Jail, and the Santa Barbara County Sheriff and Fire Air Support Unit.
