Sign-ups begin Wednesday for the UCSB Basketball Camp, which runs the week of August 2-6.
Cost is $299. Hours for the camp are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, August 6. It takes place at the Thunderdome on the UCSB campus.
The camp is designed to teach fundamental offensive basketball skills, and boys and girls entering grades 2-8 are eligible for participation. The camp is designed to provide a fun learning experience.
The camp is run by the UCSB coaching staff, as well as current players. Fundamentals of all positions on offense are taught in addition to life skills such as respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, teamwork and the importance of education.
Participants are grouped based on age and skill level, and each camper receives a UCSB camp t-shirt.
