Dos Pueblos softball slugged six homers on its way to a 7-2 non-league win over Saugus on Wednesday in Santa Clarita.
Anastasia Brunner led the power surge with a pair of home runs, while Kacey Hurley, Zella Cassidy, Vereniki Maniadi and Kyanne Bechler all left the yard as well.
Meanwhile, Emily Morici earned the win in the circle after striking out eight batters and surrendering just one free pass.
“I can’t remember a day when we hit 6 homers in a game,” Dos Pueblos head coach Mike Gerken said. “It really is a credit to the girls who focus on hitting the ball hard every day in practice. We have a lot of girls with home run potential, and it seems today was just the day they all put it together.
“I am so happy for Kyanne to get her first career homer today. She’s having a great year at the plate and it was only a matter of time for her.”
The Chargers are now 15-4 overall this season and remain 8-0 in Channel League play.
