Oak Park built a 32-16 halftime lead on Thursday on the way to a 68-45 boys basketball win at Dos Pueblos.

Clark Slajchert poured in 30 points for the Eagles and Leo Beath added 23.

Alex McCeney topped the Chargers (1-6) with 14 points.

“Oak Park was very tough to contain,” said DP coach Joe Zamora. “Clark Slajchert was clearly the best player on the court. Leo Beath made it hard for us to double with his size. They made it hard for us to score in our half-court sets early on.

“In the second half, we were able to get some transition points and did a better job on defense. Alex McCeney had a good game and was able to find his teammates for open looks. Alex Perez did a good job as well collecting some important rebounds.”

The Chargers will host Pakarunga of New Zealand on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in Sovine Gym.
