A Santa Ynez woman has been named as the driver killed in a single-vehicle crash late Saturday night in the Santa Ynez Valley.
At 11:23 p.m., emergency crews from several agencies responded to a crash on Figueroa Mountain Road.
California Highway Patrol officers found a Mazda CX-5 on its wheels in an embankment along the west side of Figueroa Mountain Road.
The lone occupant was pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP said.
On Monday, she was named as Courtney Hegeman, 32, from Santa Ynez, according to Raquel Zick from the Santa Barbara County Coroner’s Bureau.
CHP officers were working to determine the cause of the fatal crash.
