A 3.4-magnitude earthquake rattled parts of Santa Barbara and Ventura counties Tuesday morning. 

The U.S. Geological Survey reported the temblor at 7:06 a.m., with the epicenter about 8 miles northeast of Ventura. 

The USGS “Felt Report,” which asks the public whether they felt an earthquake or not, shows some people lightly felt it on the South Coast of Santa Barbara County as well as western Ventura County.
