It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved sister Sonia Maria Villarreal, who left this world on April 9, 2026 at the age of 71.

Born on Dec. 8, 1955 in Santa Barbara, she was a source of light and love in the lives of all who knew her.

Sonia was known for her kindness, and fun-loving spirit. She had a passion for working with glass and coloring, which she pursued with enthusiasm and dedication.

Whether it was creating art with glass, or hanging out with friends on vacations, she made a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.

To her family, she was the heart and soul, always offering support, encouragement, and unforgettable moments filled with laughter.

She is survived by her little brother Todd Kini, nieces, nephews, and countless friends who will forever cherish her memory.

In honor of Sonia’s life, a celebration of her spirit will be held at 10 a.m. June 13 at the Church San Salvador in Piru, California.

Though she may be gone, Sonia’s love and spirit will continue to inspire us every day. We will carry her memory in our hearts, eternally grateful for the time we had together.
