Vandenberg Space Force Base launched a new work week with a Falcon 9 rocket’s window-rattling blastoff on Monday evening.

Just three days after the previous launch, the two-stage rocket built by SpaceX departed at 6:15 p.m. from Space Launch Complex-4.

The rocket’s rise away from the Central Coast rattled windows en route to placing 26 Starlink satellites in orbit. SpaceX confirmed the satellites deployed as planned approximately an hour after liftoff.

After finishing its task, the first-stage booster completed its sixth landing on the droneship in the Pacific Ocean.

SpaceX could conduct another Starlink mission as soon as Friday, according to notices advising pilots of upcoming launches.

The West Coast team for SpaceX also launched another Starlink mission at 5:19 p.m. Friday.

The base provides notification via email and text alerts about upcoming launches, with signups possible by clicking here.

Vandenberg officials launched the alert system in mid-2024; more than 29,000 signups have occurred for the alert system with expansion plans to allow for others to subscribe.
