The launch of the Falcon 9 rocket and its cargo of Starlink satellites have been postponed at least one more day at Vandenberg Space Force Base.
Liftoff of the two-stage SpaceX rocket will occur between 8:44 p.m. Wednesday and 12:44 a.m. Thursday from Space Launch Complex-4.
It most recently aimed for a Tuesday night departure.
Deployment of the satellites is scheduled to occur approximately an hour after departure.
The first-stage booster making its fifth flight will land on the droneship positioned in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Baja California.
SpaceX has not explained the reasons for the delays for the mission once targeting Saturday and then Monday departures.
To watch the liftoff in person, the Lompoc Valley has multiple locations offering views of the launch pad. Those include the peak of Harris Grade Road, west of Lompoc’s city limits and around Vandenberg Village, including near the intersection of Moonglow and Stardust roads.
Vandenberg launches close to sunset or sunrise can be especially picturesque. If skies are clear, the rocket’s departure might be visible from elsewhere around California and, under certain conditions, other Western states.
A live webcast of the mission is scheduled to begin about five minutes before liftoff at spacex.com/launches and on X @SpaceX.
