Hillside will host Afternoon Under the Oaks, a community fundraising event, 3-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History.
Afternoon Under the Oaks will feature live music, appetizers, drinks, a silent auction, and a raffle, all in support of making a difference in the lives of Hillside residents.
Funds raised will go directly to programs, services, activities, and equipment that enhance residents’ quality of life while promoting independence, connection, inclusion and participation in our community.
“Afternoon Under the Oaks is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together around something that truly matters,” said Cheryl Sweeney, Hillside’s chief development officer.
“Every ticket purchased, sponsorship made, and contribution given enables us continue to provide important resources and opportunities that go beyond basic care.”
Demboski and Chapman Financial, Montecito Bank & Trust, and Santa Barbara Collective Hotel Group are all sponsors for this event.
“We are deeply grateful to our sponsors and supporters who continue to believe in Hillside’s mission,” said Sweeney. “Events like Afternoon Under the Oaks allow us to bring people together while raising the funds necessary to enhance the lives of our residents.”
Tickets are still available, as are also opportunities for businesses and individuals to become event sponsors.
Whether you attend with friends, host a group, or become a sponsor, your support helps Hillside continue its commitment to fostering abilities and creating community.
Hillside has been providing a supportive environment where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities can access comprehensive medical services, participate in recreational and therapeutic activities, build relationships, engage with the broader Santa Barbara community, and pursue greater independence since 1945.
