St. Joseph High School finished its stunt season with three girls earning All-Mountain League honors and one earning honorable mention recognition.
High school stunt is a competitive team sport derived from cheerleading that focuses strictly on athletic skills rather than crowd-leading or performances.
Teams compete head-to-head in structured rounds that test partner stunts, pyramids, jumps, tumbling and team routines. Each round is judged on execution, difficulty, synchronization and technique.
Unlike traditional cheerleading, stunt removes sidelines, chants and spirit elements, making it a sport centered entirely on athletic competition.
